For a couple of years now, the Balenciaga Triple S has been through some interesting colorways. However, none as wild as what sneaker artist Ceeze and Tokyo based boutique AND SQUARE have dialed up. In a project inspired by the Atmos “Animal Pack,” this bespoke Triple S is like wearing an ark. A variety of materials give this shoe not only a visual edge but also a textural experience.
Cheetah, Zebra, Tiger, and Pony hair are used for the upper. Details include the black shark is pulled for the upper’s overlays and white ostrich leg covers the toe box. Accents include red pig suede and orange nappa leather. Pastels, monochrome, and simple uses of color are a norm for the Triple S, but Ceeze was all in on shake-up. This trip around the zoo is certain to do exactly that.
The “Wild Thing” Triple S is limited to 10 pairs worldwide and will be available on Ceeze’s website at 6:30 p.m. EST for $3750 USD. The AND SQUARE store in Shibuya will also have a pair of the sneakers on view the week of September 23rd.
