The acclaimed Japanese artist Haroshi is known for crafting eye-catching sculptures out of discarded skateboard decks. He recently dropped off his PANGAIA T-shirt collaboration, and now he’s back to unveils his latest creation. Haroshi has created a colorful ’’GUZO’ Chain Pendant inspired by his signature subjects. This eye-catching pendant comes with a bespoke wooden case with an original illustration by the artist.
The colorful piece is creative and unique, an eye-catching design that showcases the artist’s incredible talents. The pendant features a simple design with intricate details that adds to the aesthetic. Haroshi creates some incredible figures, and this is just the latest. The jewelry marks the artist’s first one in ten years. Haroshi spoke about the design, stating: “In Japan, we have Dosojin (a road ancestor kami) and Ojizo-san (a Buddhist monk). They are everywhere on the street. People take them for granted and overlook their existence. Those objects are very interesting to me.” He went on to add, “I question myself what an iconic figure is and thought my ideal figure would be a skateboard.”
