On the basketball court, we know him as Damian Lillard. Behind the mic, he’s Dame D.O.L.L.A. Today the wordsmith is back, ending Summer with a new freestyle for our listening pleasures. Dame arrives with the aptly titled, “End of Summer” freestyle. The track finds D.O.L.L.A. taking on Drake’s “Do Not Disturb” instrumental, showing off his lyrical prowess in the process. Dame flexes on this one, putting together a lyrical tirade that stands up to the best of them.
The instrumental seems tailor-built for the wordsmith. He shows of us his handles are nice off the court as well. Over top of those snappy drum sections and contagious vocal samples, Dame goes in. He hits us with a bevy of bars, effortlessly showing off his delivery and style in the process. The track comes just a few months before the NBA season. Dame stays working on his craft, on and off the court. While we’re hyped about the return of the NBA to the hardwood. Though we’re also hyped to hear more new music from Dame D.O.L.L.A.
