Eatin’ Better | Taco Bell Now Has A Vegetarian Menu

For folks who were fans of the double-decker, the grilled stuffed burritos and more, Taco Bell has made some changes. There has been a lot of chatter regarding the changes being made to the menu, but today we get a look at the biggest changes. Taco Bell has introduced its first-ever vegetarian menu board nationwide. The new menu boasts vegetarian-only items certified by the American Vegetarian Association.

The fast-food taco chain will offer two new items, a Black Bean Crunchwrap Supreme and a Black Bean Quesarito. These will be featured alongside two previously existing options for the new “Vegetarian Favorites” menu. The move comes in direct response to customers becoming more health-conscious. Taco Bell is planning a new campaign to promote the menu alongside showcasing its new green emblem. The emblem reflects its AVA certification and that its the only quick-service chain to receive one in 2015. The introduction of the menu comes after a test earlier this year. However, none of the new items are made with alternative meats, as we’ve seen with Burger King and KFC. This is undoubtedly a big move for the fast-food chain and comes at a perfect time.

Will other chains move in that direction or at least have healthier options? We’re sure! Stay tuned for much more on this coming soon. In other food and drink related news, DEWAR’S just dropped off an incredible new blend worth your attention. Check it out and stay tuned for more from the culinary side of things coming soon.
