The Barnett takes your typical dining chair up a level, offering a sleek, modern, and stylish aesthetic in the process. Creative Director Adam Court says the BARNETT dining chair is “about a timeless grace, classical elegance and was designed to be realized in leather, allowing the saddle stitch detail to form part of the chairs tailored aesthetic.”
The chair comes with a timber frame that serves as a curvaceous cradle that holds the seat. Somewhat saddle-like, the frame and seat are two separate and defined elements that come together to create an impactful unison. The Barnett is described as a “character” that completes a space. The chair can be fully customized from a broad range of timbers and upholstery. OKHA stated: “we like raw natural materials that add value to the design. Timber and leather are some of our primary go-to materials. Court explores these materials in-depth to understand their “multiple personalities and range of expression, timber has countless forms of expression, and one can get happily lost there”. Court stated that the Barnett dining chair is “about a timeless grace and classical elegance and was designed to be realized in leather, allowing the saddle stitch detail to form part of the chairs tailored aesthetic.”
