After serving up a new album of collaborations earlier this Summer, Ed Sheeran is back. The UK native makes his return, doing so with a brand new video for our viewing enjoyment. This time around Ed links up with the beautiful and talented, Camila Cabello, and Bronx native, Cardi B. The track “South of the Border” is the latest single from Ed’s collaborative album, and he brings it to life with something quite fitting.
The clip was directed by Jason Koenig, who created a “frivolous spy film.” The clip finds Ed starring as a spy named Teddy Fingers, Camila Cabello as Mariposa, and Cardi B as herself. The action-packed clip plays along nicely with its soundtrack. We find two spies who are on a mission to acquire a prized diamond necklace. They head from London to Mexico during their globe-trotting adventures, encountering a knife-wielding Camila and a kidnapped Cardi. The video fits the track flawlessly, and the trio provides a look at their acting chops.
“South of the Border” is the latest visual off Sheeran’s No.6 Collaborations Project, which debuted at No. 1. The album also features collaborations with Travis Scott, Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars, and many more.
