Elevating Footwear | Engineered Garments x New Balance 990v5

Two imprints that are staples in streetwear and style, New Balance and Engineered Garments, are back. The two brands are excited to announce their second collaborative effort. This latest project merges two iconic styles, bringing together Engineered Garments’ patchwork aesthetic and New Balance’s classic 990 silhouette.

The Engineered Garments x New  Balance 990v5 will launch in three colorways, monochromatic black, grey, and navy. The sneakers arrive constructed with a different leather on each of the shoe’s overlays. The uppers boast smooth leather, nubuck, suede, croc embossed nubuck, and lizard embossed nubuck. This created an eye-catching mismatch on the left and right shoe. This unique aesthetic is further reinforced through mismatched cotton and waxed laces. Each shoe also comes with an Engineered Garments branded insert and shoebox. To celebrate the launch, the two have teamed up with three creative forces to shoot the collaboration. They include street style photographer Phil Oh, photographer Cam  Hicks, and videographer Antony Crooks.

Take a closer look at the Engineered Garments x New Balance 990v5 in the images below and look for the sneakers in limited quantities through select retail partners on September 7th. Stay tuned for more new footwear and sneakers coming soon.
