The good folks over at New Balance are back. The sportswear imprint returns with another addition to its impressive fleet of footwear. Today we get our first look at the New Balance KAWHI 2 “New Money.” The sneaker is the latest edition of the KAWHI 2, boasting a sleek and stylish approach with a functional aesthetic all around. Like its predecessor, a $100 USD bill is the inspiration for its overall theme.
The design features a money-inspired print seen along the back, sidewalls, and toe boxes of the design. The design is also host to a light gray synthetic layer that drapes over them. The tongue is adorned with cash-influenced elements, such as the stamped “100” notations. Down below, the heel molds are draped with metallic gold, while wave midsoles come in a muted gray color.
