Game Night | adidas x Twitter Are Back For ‘Friday Night Stripes’ Season 2

After the highly successful inaugural season of ‘Friday Night Stripes,’ adidas, Twitter and Intersport are back at it again. The three have announced that ‘Friday Night Stripes’ Season 2 will launch this fall. ‘Friday Night Stripes’ is the first-ever live streaming series of high school football games on Twitter. A year ago, the three brands set out to innovate, inspire, and revolutionize Friday night high school football. The series generated over 32.6M total video views and over 15.6M total live viewers tuned in to watch some of the best teams in the nation.

Season 1 was nominated for several awards, including the 2019 IDEA Best Branded Content Award and Campaign of the Year, the Digiday Content Marketing Awards for Best Real-Time Streaming Video, and Sports Business Journal’s 2019 Best in Social Media Award.

Game Time!

Cameron Collins, Director of adidas Football, spoke about season one and the excitement for season two. He stated: “We take pride in helping shape the future of sports and the first season of Friday Night Stripes created a best-in-class digital experience and highlighted the vision for adidas Football.” He went on to add that “As we continue to elevate and amplify the high school football experience for millions of fans, Friday Night Stripes Season 2 is set to showcase some of the most highly-touted games and top-ranked high school teams across the nation.”

Returning to announce the Season 2 games are ESPN and SEC Network’s play-by-play announcer Courtney Lyle, with analysis by Super Bowl XLV Champion A.J. Hawk, formerly of the Green Bay Packers. Special guests will also make appearances and join the play calling throughout the series of games, including adidas Football NFL athletes and entertainment partners and influencers.

‘Friday Night Stripes’ Season 2 will be streamed on Twitter and produced by Intersport. Below you can find a full schedule of games.
