The one and only, Hit-Boy, is back. Today the producer, wordsmith, and more invades the interwebs with a brand new single. After getting a Grammy for his work on Nas‘ King’s Disease album, he’s back with a new exclusive track to Apple Music. The single is called “Back In Traffic,” and as expected, he doesn’t disappoint. The track finds the artist serving up a dose of his talents behind the mic and behind the boards.
Hit-Boy also revealed that the hook was written by Kendrick Lamar and performed by KIRBY. “Back in Traffic” is pushed by these smooth melodies, which are seamlessly paired with some crisp, clean, and catchy drum sections. The result is something special, something we’ll undoubtedly have in steady rotation for the foreseeable future. Hit-Boy never lets us down, and he certainly doesn’t start with this one.
