Not too long ago, Joell Ortiz and KXNG Crooked surprised fans and announced a new project titled The Rise and Fall of Slaughterhouse. As two of the founding members, the duo touched on the past and created something new for our listening enjoyment. After serving up a new single, “Vacancy,” the two are back with something new called “Backstage.” The track comes before the March 11th release date and finds Joell Ortiz and KXNG Crooked showcasing their lyrical talents once again.
The track has a soulful vibe that opens with Joell speaking about the past, his visions for the crew, and more. Crooked then takes over, reminiscing about the past. As both MCs do their thing, the track comes to life in a fitting set of visuals. Clips of the group’s performances and some backstage footage offer a look at their life on the road.
