The beautiful and incredibly talented, Jorja Smith is back. For anyone that hasn’t gotten acquainted with Ms. Smith, pay attention. After connecting with Burna Boy on “Gum Body,” Jorja returns to the interwebs with a new single of her own. The track is called “Be Honest” and finds Jorja pairing up with Burna Boy. This marks their second record together and as like their first effort, they arrive with something infectious.
“Be Honest” packed full of smooth vibes and two exceptionally talented individuals. The single comes driven by these silky smooth melodic elements and some snappy, energetic drum sections. The backdrop makes a solid home for the duo to do their thing. “Be Honest” is pushed by these silky-smooth melodies which come seamlessly paired with some nice, mid-tempo drum sections.
The backdrop is exceptional and allows both artists to excel flawlessly. Both artists bring their a-game, putting together a solid new effort along the way. For those of you who are unfamiliar with either artist, this is a great introduction. For anyone familiar with the sounds of Jorja Smith and Burna, you already know what excellence is in store.
