Looking Into The Future | Jaguar Land Rover Debuts The “Project Vector” City Car

The creative minds over at Jaguar Land Rover are looking to make an impact on the future. The British marque is back in the news to reveal its “Project Vector” city car. This autonomous, electric design features a futuristic appearance, offering a realistic look that provides a glimpse into the future. The design is part of Jaguar Land Rover’s Destination Zero mission, an initiative with goals of a future with zero emissions, zero accidents, and zero congestions. The company aims to make societies healthier and safer, cleaning the environment in the process.

Vehicles such as “Project Vector” are just the beginning, with a host of purposes. The car is enabled to meet the technological standards of smart cities. It’s also spacious as well, boasting a four meter-long base. The electric city car features its battery and drivetrain components located on its flat floor. This also allows the vehicle to be used commercially for deliveries.

JLR states that “the megatrends of urbanization and digitalization make connected urban mobility systems necessary and inevitable. Shared and private vehicles will share spaces with and be connected to public transit networks, so you can travel on demand and autonomously.” The company aims to expand on this with a host of “Project Vector” cars in a partnership with Coventry City Council and the West Midlands Combined Authority in the United Kingdom.

Check out the “Project Vector” city car in the images below and take a look into the future. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more from the auto industry coming very soon.
