Minds of Style | Louis Vuitton Unveils NIGO x Virgil Abloh LV² Collaboration

Back in December, the good folks over at Louis Vuitton teased a partnership between Virgil Alboh and NIGO. Since setting the interwebs ablaze, we’ve all waited patiently to see what the collection was all about. Today Louis Vuitton returns with a first look at the new LV² collection. The range is packed full of eye-catching attention to detail and bold quality. The designs include a barrage of denim, boasting unique tailoring, and graphic designs. The Pre-Fall 2020 menswear selection is nothing short of outstanding, rocking cues from NIGO’s legacy.

The name “LV²” is a nod to the dual design approach. The range isn’t the first that LV has paired with Japanese streetwear legends, though it is their most involved. The range includes the house’s imagery mixed with NIGO’s codes. We see everything from denim hats, chore coats, and pants with patchwork-inspired stitching. The collection is slated to arrive this Summer, just in time for Fall. Abloh stated: “There’s already been talks that this could be an ongoing logic.” He added, “I think both sides are open to it, so I wouldn’t rule out that other things could come. … We both have a passion for eventizing these moments. It’s not just the clothes; it’s the context.”

Take a closer look at the collaboration in the images below and head over to Louis Vuitton to find out more. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more style and streetwear coming very soon.
