Toronto’s very own, Drake, has had quite a busy Summer so far in 2019. Things started with his hometown team, the Toronto Raptors, winning the NBA Championship, which he followed up with a two-pack of new tracks. After gearing up for the ninth annual OVO Fest, Drake is back with something “new” for our listening enjoyment called ‘Care Package.’
The new EP finds Drake heading into the vaults for this one, cooking up a new project packed full of loosies he’s released over the years that weren’t attached to any specific project. This includes cuts such as “Dreams Money Can Buy,” his “Jodeci Freestyle” with J. Cole, “Free Spirit” with Rick Ross, “Paris Morton Music,” and more. Drake spoke about the project when announcing the release, stating: “Some of our most important moments together available in one place.”
Drake shows off his range and his effortless ability to switch back and forth, providing us with a total of seventeen tracks. Some of our favorites include “The Motion,” “Days In The East,” “Draft Day,” “I Get Lonely,” and “Heat of the Moment.” Drake showcases his growth through the years on the project, doing so over top of a barrage of unique and impressive instrumentals. Drake always provides something worth rocking with, and ‘Care Package’ is no different.
