Back in 2018, Land Rover celebrated its 70th anniversary. In doing so, the company created a 70th Anniversary Edition Defender, which became quite a popular selection for fans and collectors alike. The good folks over at Himalaya, who is known for revamping, updating and customizing Land Rover’s of all sorts, decided to put their own touches on the special edition Defender. Today we get our first look at the Himalaya 70th Anniversary Defender Truck.
This beautiful machine was disassembled entirely, while the chassis was coated in heavy-duty urethane paint. The ride was then completely revamped with all-new parts. This particular Defender is outfitted with a GM LS3 V8 backed by a six-speed automatic transmission. This is complemented by Fox suspension, roll cage, skid plates, and Himalaya’s bespoke 18-inch wheels and BF Goodrich tires. All of these elements come together to create one of the most impressive and powerful renditions of the 70th Anniversary Edition Defender the world has seen. The vehicle was then draped in stunning white leather, rocking an infotainment screen, and a premium sound system as well.
