Modern Masterpieces | The CRA House

Modern architecture comes in all sorts of shapes and forms. Today we get a look at a unique structure that complies with site regulations while keeping its own personality and character. The CRA House is located in a residential country club in Mexico. The home has its own unique style, formed by four interlocking A-frames which are on a concrete base.

The timber frames contrast the monolithic base, doing so in order to maintain the area’s mountain character. A central atrium connects the house with each wing extending in a different direction. This captures a unique perspective of the landscape while keeping things private.

The common spaces are located on the lower level, connecting seamlessly to the outdoors. The private areas of the home, bedrooms and more, are found in the home’s pitches above. This provides plenty of privacy, as well as an open approach for the lower level. The interior is host to exposed concrete walls that create a minimalist aesthetic, while wood-clad ceilings add warmth.

Take a look at The CRA House in the images below and find out more about the structure from Estudio MMX. While you’re at it, be sure to keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more outstanding architecture and design coming soon.
