Znera Space Proposes New Structure Around Burj Khalifa

The Dubai-based architectural firm Znera Space is known for its experimental and futuristic designs. Today the firm returns with a look at its latest design, a new concept that aims to encircle the Burj Khalifa. The design is a five-story structure that will serve as a hovering downtown Dubai. The “Downtown Circle” is a giant ring-like structure that will house residential areas and public, commercial, and cultural spaces.

The 550-meter tall ring features a suitable approach that “aims to create a hyper efficient urban center that gives back to the environment,” according to the firm. Sectioned into five sustainable and self-sufficient units, another large extension will have two main rings connected by a continuous green belt called the Skypark. Skypark allows guests to experience dunes, greenery, swamps, waterfalls, tropical vegetation, and digital caves.

Take a closer look at the artist renderings in the images below and find out more about the “Downtown Circle” from Znera Space. While you’re at it, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more outstanding architecture and design coming soon.
