Rapsody – IBTIHAJ Ft. GZA & D’Angelo

The North Carolina-bred wordsmith known as Rapsody is back. She returns while gearing up to drop off a new album later this month, serving up a brand new single ahead of time. The track is called “IBTIHAJ” and its the first single from her impending album, ‘EVE.’

The lead single finds Rapsody effortlessly and flawlessly showing off her lyrical prowess. Once again Rapsody puts together and impressive display of her talents. She links up with GZA and D’Angelo, on the track, which was named after Ibtihaj Muhammad. Ms. Muhammad was a saber fencer who became the first Muslim American woman to wear a hijab while competing for the United States in the 2016 Summer Olympics.

9th Wonder produced “IBTIHAJ,” and he delivers something special. He laces Rapsody with something incredible to do her thing upon. The track is pushed by a contagious combination of slick drums, seamlessly paired with some catching melodies. The backdrop provides a perfect home for Rapsody to excel and she certainly does. She doesn’t disappoint, serving up some of her uncanny delivery and irresistible appeal. This is definitely a gem and one we wouldn’t suggest sleeping on.
