Never one to disappoint, Russ is back. This man stays dropping off contagious new material worth rocking with, and today he’s back with more of the same. This time around Russ follows up “Rent Free” with a new one entitled “Crown.” The track finds Russ holding down the lyrical side of things. Leaving the production to someone else.
“Crown” was produced by Boi-1da, Jahaan Sweet and The Rascals. The trio laced the wordsmith with something special to do his thing upon. The track comes driven by a smooth, contagious combination of rattling drum work. Which is paired with some slick melodic elements. The combination provides Russ with one hell of a home to do his thing, and as always, he delivers nicely. Russ always delivers lyrically and/or vocally, and he does exactly that on “Crown.”
This man stays dropping impressive new material, and this is just the latest. No word on where this one may end up or if Russ is working on anything new. However, we’ll share news once we know.
