Mixing speed and style is something Porsche has been doing for decades. They return to take things a step further, no pun intended, with a new collaboration with PUMA. The new collection of limited-edition footwear draws inspiration from the 911 Turbo, one of the most iconic vehicles ever made. The range will feature eight different sneakers, each showcasing the eight generations of the 911 Turbo. The two brands share incredible legacies and heritage, which means a collaboration just makes sense.
Anja Enja Egger, Head of Business Unit Marketing PUMA Motorsport, spoke about the collaboration. Anja stated: “When Porsche approached us to design a capsule to celebrate the iconic 911 sports car, we were immediately taken by the idea.” The collection candles the Future Rider, as well as the motorsports-inspired Speedcat. Egger explained: “Our ’70s inspired Future Rider silhouette perfectly captures the historic era of the Air-Cooled Porsche 911 sports car, while the Speedcat is a true race-inspired style capturing the slick lines of the water-cooled generations of 911.”
The Future Rider will represent the first four generations of the 911 Turbo, while the Speedcat will represent more modern iterations. Colorways will vary on each model, adding a unique touch to all eight designs along the way. The limited Porsche x PUMA Icons of Fast collection is slated to drop on November 17.
