The skate and streetwear brand, HUF, is back at it once again. This time around, the imprint links up with one of its favorite bands, The Smashing Pumpkins, for an exclusive collaboration. Coming in the form of a small capsule collection, the eye-catching range celebrates the 25th anniversary of the rock group’s landmark 1995 album, Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness.
The capsule collection aims to capture 90s-era nostalgia across a range of cut-and-sew, fleece, tees, and accessories. Throughout the collection, we find original album artwork from the band’s early discography, while the lookbook was inspired by The Smashing Pumpkins’ iconic ‘1979’ music video. The collection captures the carefree spirit, coming-of-age wistfulness, and angst of youth through unique designs and eye-catching apparel.
Highlights from the range include the Tonight Tonight and Daydream button-ups, as well as the Bullet Long Sleeve Tee. The Mellon Collie Skate Deck is a must-have, while the Infinite Sadness Tote Bag is an excellent addition as well. The collection features the renowned ‘star girl’ and collaged Victorian art from Mellon Collie. Elsewhere we see tie-dyed and track list-printed tees with psychedelic and dreamy elements from the band’s 1991 Gish record.
Finishing off the collection is a vintage-inspired ‘Zero’ mechanic jacket, as well as socks and a guitar pick set complete with stars, moons, angels, hearts, and a hand-drawn The Smashing Pumpkins logo by front-man Billy Corgan.
