The Struggle Is Over | Nissan Reveals A Self-Driving Golf Ball

For some, golf is a game of patience, power, and finesse. For the rest of us, it’s frustration and just an excuse to day drink. Golf is a game that takes practice and dedication to the craft. It’s a game of inches and power, a game that, well, many of us just think we’re good at. Well, Nissan is looking to change golf as we know it, adding an element of tech to the game. Nissan has created a self-driving golf ball.

The Nissan ProPilot Golf Ball will let even the novice player, like us, nail that putt every time. You might think the ball was designed as the perfect way to win some extra cash on the links. However, the Nissan ProPilot Golf Ball arrives to promote the company’s new ProPilot 2.0 technology. ProPilot is Nissan’s lane assisting safety feature that we immediately fell in love with upon using it. The system creates highly accurate map data for hands-free highway driving.

The tech was placed within the ball, which means, no matter how bad you are; you will be great! Let us be clear that it only applies to putting and has nothing to do with driving (the car). The self-driving golf ball is nothing short of a miracle, which means ProPilot 2.0 technology is sure to be exceptional. The ProPilot 2.0 system will launch in Japan soon with the Skyline supercar.

Sadly Nissan will not be selling any of those self-driving golf balls. We’ll go back to the drawing board. Take a look the golf ball in action in the video below and head over to Nissan to find out more about the ProPilot 2.0 system immediately!
