The Windy City representative known as Vic Mensa, is back. The wordsmith returns to the game today with a new single, linking up with Jessie Rutherford of the Neighborhood for something slick and incredibly contagious. The track is called “Let U Know” and finds both artists bringing the best of their respective abilities.
No word on where this one might live, but we hope its the beginning of something new from Mr. Mensa. The self-produced record finds Vic and Jessie sharing this impressive, contagious backdrop. The instrumental is driven by some menacing drum section and these big, fitting melodic elements. The track provides an ample home for the duo do to their thing, and they both bring their a-game.
The Chi-town native takes the opportunity to speak about his success, also gloating for his former naysayers while effortlessly showing off his lyrical prowess. The track shows off Vic’s growth as an artist as he and Jessie effortlessly do their thing. As we said before, there is no word on where this one might turn up, though we certainly hope to hear more from both of these artists in the future.
