Perhaps a little beef over a chicken sandwich was exactly what we needed to kick off a fast-food free for all. When Popeye’s showed up and popped Chick-fil-a in the mouth with a spicy one-two, the game changed. Wendy’s is Wildin’ out now too. What could our little drive-thru ginger have in store for us? Bigger than the Baconator? More formidable than the Frosty? The question is as old as the Wendy’s brand itself. For years the foodie community has speculated what a Wendy’s breakfast might be made of. Well, we wonder no more. Behold, the Wendy’s Breakfast Menu. Which is set to go Nationwide by 2020.
Breakfast is one of the most intense markets in the fast-food game, so we know Wendy’s is bringing the heat. The American fast-food breakfast market is one of the only consumer bases showing steady growth while healthier options are replacing lunch and dinner. According to CNN, Wendy’s breakfast expansion will cost the company $20 million — which doesn’t even account for the 20,000 new employees they’ll hire in order to support their expanded breakfast offerings. Wendy’s Breakfast Is Coming!
Wendy’s has assembled is coming for everybody. Breakfast Baconator is ready to leave some trash ass croissant based sandwich dead in the street. Sausage replaces the burger patty, double American cheese and pile of bacon topped with Hollandaise sauce on a frickin Brioche bun? They don’t do anything else. Game over! However, we know there’s more. Wendy’s is going straight at the Holy one with a got dang Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit. Nothing more than a Fried chicken sandwich patty on a buttermilk biscuit with whipped honey-butter. A perfectly simple southern staple of breakfast bliss. I’ll take two.
Perhaps the most Wendy’s offering of all though is the Frosty-ccino. Ice cream for breakfast is the reason we all became adults. Do what 10 year old you wanted to do so bad, but add some cold brew coffee. Duh. The half Frosty, half cold brew morning treat will be available in both chocolate and vanilla flavors.
Breakfast Becomes Better!
This is just a sneak peek, but I’m calling it already. Game Blouses! It will just be a formality until the entire breakfast menu and pricing are released before the end of the year. There are 300 stores currently running the breakfast menu if you just can’t wait.
