Young M.A – ‘HERstory in the Making’

This has been years in the making! The one and only, Young M.A is back, and she’s here to drop off her long-awaited debut album finally. The project is entitled ‘HERstory in the Making,’ released on the tenth anniversary of the tragic death of her brother. The album arrives with a barrage of new material from the wordsmith, who describes the album as a “devastatingly personal look into [her] life.”

The Brooklyn rapper recently opened up about the album, and what we can expect. She stated: “You’re gonna get the truth.” M.A went on to add, “You’re gonna get the cocky joints, the slick talk joints where I talk my talk, but then I’m gonna get personal. Real personal. That’s why this album is called Herstory In The Making, because it’s about all sides of me.” The project comes in with twenty-one tracks, including the previously-released “BIG,” “PettyWap,” and “Car Confessions.” Along the way, the artist gets production provided by Zaytoven, NY Bangers, Buda & Grandz, OZ, SykSense, and others. Throughout the album, she holds things down on her own, aside from two features from Relle Rey and Max YB. Some of our favorite tracks from the project so far include “Da Come Up,” “Kold World,” “Smoove Kriminal,” “Numb,” and “Bipolar.”

Young M.A does her thing, and she does it well, putting together quite an opus in the process. Check out the new album in the stream below and look for more new music arriving soon.
