Just ahead of the holiday season, BACARDÍ made its return to New York City. The brand brought the Rum Room to the big apple, marking the second iteration of five national events curated by the BACARDÍ Rum Society. The iconic rum brand took Lower East Side hotspot, The DL, and transformed it into a premium rum oasis. The event included dedicated rooms championing each of the aged rum expressions, comprised of BACARDÍ Añejo Cuatro, BACARDÍ Reserva Ocho, and BACARDÍ Gran Reserva Diez.
The Rum Room created an evening of excitement and discovery that showcased the brand’s culture, diverse flavor profile. As guests entered the space, their journey of rum exploration started with aged rum expressions in ascending order. Guests were guided to the Cuatro room, before making their way to the rooftop Ocho room, and finally, were treated to a Diez “speakeasy” tasting experience.

Each room in-between featured unique moments that brought the versatility and enjoyability of the premium portfolio to life. Guests were invited to indulge in a variety of sensory experiences. These experiences included an edible greenery wall in the Cuatro room, allowing guests to customize their drinks with specialty garnishes. The Ocho room was host to a BACARDÍ bat wing installation and a GIF machine that had guests snapping photos all evening.
There was also a rum barrel that provided education on the meaning of “the angel’s share.” The Diez speakeasy featured BACARDÍ Global Rum Master David Cid leading intimate tastings and rum immersions alongside a live cigar rolling station. Favorites from the evening included the BACARDÍ Ocho Old Fashioned, and Jhene Aiko’s signature TRIGGERED cocktail made with BACARDÍ Reserva Ocho.
