It seems like the automotive market continues to grow. It’s undoubtedly evolving and taking the proper steps toward the future. After teasing something new a few months back, DeLorean returns to unveil its latest ride. Today we get our first look at the DeLorean Alpha5. DeLorean went back to the designer of the original car, Italdesign, working in conjunction to create this stunning electric sports car.
The Alpha5 takes inspiration from the DMC-12, smoothing out those hard edges while keeping its most iconic feature, the gullwing doors. The vehicle might just be a glimpse into the future. The Alpha5 boasts a range of around 300 miles with a top speed limited to 150 mph. The car features plenty of power, boasting a 0-60 mph time of just 3.4 seconds.
CEO Joost de Vries said that the first 88 cars will be track-only examples, while a production run for street use will follow soon after. A V8 version and an SUV are also supposedly in the works.
