A Look Inside | Fabian Oefner Reveals ‘CutUp’

Art comes in all sorts of shapes and sizes. Today we get a look at a unique display that provides a compelling look inside technology. The incredibly creative interdisciplinary artist, Fabian Oefner, is back. The artist recently unveiled a new series called ‘CutUp.’ This unique exhibition features a slew of vintage cameras which come sliced up for an inside look. Designed with a band saw, the one-of-a-kind resin sculptures is a look inside the technology. The unique designs come inside clear resin.

The works are created with a process that involves utilizing a “unique mix of high-end and low-end technologies” to develop each sculptural work. The artist often uses a vacuum and pressure chambers that are capable of reaching distinct temperatures. The resin blocks are sliced using a band saw before being polished by hand. The result is both eye-catching and unique, compelling, and catching to say the least. The process of his creation is unique and in-depth. You can see his process and his talents in the video below.
