Earlier this year, Adrian Marcel unleashed his latest project, 98th. The album came loaded up with fifteen new tracks, again showcasing his vocal prowess and talents. Since then, the crooner has stayed busy, playing James DeBarge in the television biopic The Bobby DeBarge Story. Today Mr. Marcel is back with a smooth new remix to his standout single, “Can’t Go For That.”
The track finds Adrian linking up with the one and only Casey Veggies this time around. The two come together over top of this laid back, soulful instrumental, which provides the duo with a nice home to do their thing. Adrian’s part doesn’t change, though he flawlessly does his thing along the way. Casey takes to the instrumental and serves up a dose of his lyrical prowess. Adrian sings, “I think I’m done. Can’t do this forever. I must be done. If I stay, it’s whatever I can take a lot of things, baby But I can’t go for that.”
