All About Art | Buff Monster Unveils Limited Edition ‘Melty Misfits’ Prints

If you know anything about The Culture Curators, know that we love unique, colorful, anything. From art to cars, style, and design, bold is beautiful. Buff Monster is known for crafting colorful displays of art with his cast of ice cream inspired characters. Today the New York City-based street artist returns to drop a limited edition run of 40 painted prints. The prints feature characters from his popular Melty Misfits series. The range of characters juxtaposes the innocence of ice cream with eye-catching darker themes.

The 40 prints focus on Nuclear Norman, a character that was initially seen back in 2012. Part of the Buff Monster’s Series 1 collection of Melty Misfits, he’s become a bit of a legend. The new Nuclear Norman boasts a joyful expression while detonating a nuclear weapon on top of its head. The new prints were created with layered spray paint and large black and white drawings of the character. These were then laid atop an array of Series 1 proof sheets from the artist’s archive.

The prints are going up for sale for $100 USD over on Stay Melty’s website tomorrow at 10:00 AM est. The 9×12″ prints are signed and numbered, but you should act fast. No word on if any more of these will be released any time soon. Keep it locked for more from the world of art and street art coming soon.
