BMW has a history of collaborating with artists, bringing the creativity of art and automobiles to life. Today they are back at it, unveiling the latest in their line of art cars. Today we get our first look at the BMW 8 x Jeff Koons Gran Coupe. The luxury automobile has been outfitted with a bold new paint scheme, offering a touch of creativity and eye-catching appeal. The 8 Series Gran Coupe has been revamped with a hand-painted custom livery designed by Jeff Koons.
The vehicle is adorned with the artist’s pop-art style, boasting exceptional attention to detail and design cues throughout. The paint job features over 200 hours worth of work by BMW’s master painters, while the interior was designed to match the outside. The car boasts bright red and blue throughout the inside, continuing the superhero theme. All eight vehicles are set to go on display in Rockefeller Plaza before one, signed by the artist, goes to auction via Christie’s in New York on April 4th, 2022.
