BANKS is back! Ever since exploding on the scene a few years ago, BANKS has become of those artists that we can’t seem to get enough of. BANKS returns to the interwebs today with her latest album, her third album, aptly titled ‘III.’ BANKS again delivers something special, an infectious project packed full of smooth vibes, incredible talent, and impressive new material.
The album comes loaded up with thirteen tracks, led by the singles “Gimmie” and “Look What You’re Doing To Me.” BANKS shows off her range and depth, as well as her growth as an artist. She does so effortlessly without losing the allure of what makes her different and special. Throughout the project BANKS pairs up with the likes of BJ Burton, Buddy Ross, Hudson Mohawke and Francis and the Lights, providing something infectious and quite smooth.
Standout singles include “Contaminated,” “Godless,” “Sawzall,” “Alaska,” “The Fall,” and “If We Were Made of Water.” BANKS recently spoke about the album with Apple Music. She stated: “For me, III represents a life cycle.” She went on to add “It’s like the beginning, middle, and end. It feels like everything that comes to an end is kind of represented by threes, and a big theme on this album is letting go and being able to start a new chapter and be more present.”
