The smooth, soulful sounds of BJ The Chicago Kid are back. It’s been a minute since he dropped his last album, as we’ve been patiently awaiting this moment for a while. The crooner makes his return with a brand new album, his long-awaited follow up to his infectious sophomore album, ‘In My Mind?’ The new album is called ‘1123’ and finds BJ effortlessly showing off his vocal prowess yet again.
The new album arrives after a handful of singles, and throughout the opus BJ flawlessly does his thing. The album is led by the singles “BJ The Chicago Kid. Along the way, BJ is joined by a bevy of talented artists such as Anderson .Paak, Buddy, J.I.D, Kent Jamz, Eric Bellinger, Rick Ross, and Afrojack. BJ cooks up a contagious effort packed with smooth, addictive sounds, flawlessly and effortlessly showing off his growth and his vocal prowess.
Other standout tracks aside from the previously released singles mentioned above are “Champagne,” “Can’t Wait,” “Rather Be With You,” “Playa’s Ball” with Rick Ross, and “Get Away” with J.I.D, Buddy & Kent Jamz. BJ puts together something special and provides us with a refreshing listening experience in the process.
