For fans of hip-hop, Boston native Cousin Stizz has been on the radar for a while. For folks outside of hip-hop, he’s not a household name. Stizz first arrived in 2015 and has unleashed a steady dose of music. The lyricist dropped off his first project that year and followed it up with another impressive effort in 2016. Stizz continued his rise towards the top with a handful of guest features, further showing off his lyrical prowess.
He signed to RCA Records back in 2017, dropping off his major-label debut, One Night Only. Today Cousin Stizz returns, nearly two years after his debut. Stizz unleashes ‘Trying to Find My Next Thrill.’ The new album arrives led by the singles “Toast 2 That,” “Perfect” and “STP.” Stizz serves up a solid effort, linking up with an impressive array of guests as well.
The album features the likes of Freddie Gibbs, City Girls, Leven Kali, Smino and $ean Wire. Some of our favorites include “RR,” “Two Face,” “Jump Out The Phone” with Leven Kali, and “Beamin’.” Stizz does his thing and provides quite a solid album for our listening pleasures. He not only shows off his lyrical prowess but also his growth behind the mic. Backed by some impressive instrumentals and outstanding features, Stizz definitely doesn’t disappoint on this one.
