Say what you want about DaBaby, but you can’t say he isn’t having one hell of a year. After showcasing his undeniable talents on his ‘Baby on Baby’ project, DaBaby is back with his second album of the year. This time around the Charlotte native returns with an infectious new project entitled ‘Kirk.’ While he’s been showing off his talents on remixes and features with Lil Baby, Lizzo, Gucci Mane, Lil Nas X, and more, he’s back with more of his own. DaBaby recently opened up about the album and its title.
He stated: “Kirk, my last name, it holds big weight,” adding “It’s all about confidence, being a leader”. The project comes loaded up with thirteen new tracks, including the introspective “Intro” which was released last week. The rest of the album finds the wordsmith hitting us with his uncanny abilities and his lyrical prowess. Along the way, DaBaby is joined by a who’s who of talent. He gets features from the likes of Nicki Minaj, Chance the Rapper, Gucci Mane, Kevin Gates, Lil Baby, Moneybagg Yo, Migos, and his right-hand man, Stunna 4 Vegas. Some of our favorite standouts include “Off The Rip,” “Vibez,” “iPhone,” “Prolly Heard,” and “There He Go.”
DaBaby serves up a solid showcase of his talents. Delivering something quite impressive, to say the least.
