The Jordan brand was born on the court. It turned into a fashion icon in the mall and on the streets. The footwear giant has also made some standout training shoes along the way. As a bit of an athlete myself. I remember how excited I got the first time I saw the original Jordan Trunner. The Jumpman has stepped up the offseason game with every iteration so far. And now, they’ve done it again.
The new Jordan Trunner Ultimate is an evolution of almost 20 years spent honing the hybrid Training/Running shoe platform. Creating a shoe like this deserved its own name. The Trunner Ultimate is set to redefine the transition from the court to the track. Doing so with a design built for speed training and conditioning runs.
The shoe’s upper is an ultralight, seamless synthetic material available in a bold Volt Green/Black. As well as a more subtle Sail/Black version. The iconic Jumpman logo is on both the front and back, so it’s seen coming and going. A diamond-shaped outer-sole cage has been designed to ensure side to side stability. The Flight Fin heel technology helps with heel to toe transitions for longer runs. A full-foot Zoom Air unit in the midsole keeps impact from taking a toll on the athlete during training.
The Jordan Trunner Ultimate makes it’s retail debut this week on the Nike Webstore in the Volt Green/Black and Sail/Black colorways. Additional styles should be popping up on the market around June 1st. We’ll have to wait and see the retail price as it’s yet to be announced.
