Future Forms! The Xiaomi CyberDog Robot

The good folks over at Xiaomi are taking robotics to a whole new level. The company has developed its own robot companion, revealing the Xiaomi CyberDog Robot. The design rivals Boston Dynamics’ Spot, offering a four-legged robot that is capable of some impressive feats. The open-source robot companion is powered by an NVIDIA Jetson Xavier NX platform AI Supercomputer.

The design includes 84 CUDA Cores, 48 Tensor Cores, a 6 Carmel ARM CPU, and two deep learning acceleration engines. The robot moves about thanks to 11 built-in sensors that provide instant feedback. This allows the robot to navigate and interact with its surroundings. The device also features human posture and face recognition tracking, which allows the pet to follow its owner as a loyal dog should.

It is even capable of responding to commands through a voice assistant. The open-source platform allows users to personalize their Cyberdog to their own liking. Are you interested in finding out more? Or are you scared of what robots this smart is really capable of?

Don’t sweat it and learn more information from Xiaomi right now. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more from the tech sector coming very soon.
