Heather Victoria – ‘Boutique Hotel’

For the last ten years or more, Heather Victoria has provided her vocals as part of 9th Wonder’s JAMLA musical collective. She’s been apart of some great projects, boasting appearances on Rapsody’s The Idea of Beautiful, Add-2’s Prey for the Poor, and more. She even appeared on a track with the late Mac Miller on 9th Wonder’s The Wonder Years. Now she’s working on something of her own, serving up a new album entitled ‘Boutique Hotel.’

The project is the first since 2011’s Hip Hop Soul Lives and the Fayetteville, NC songstress shines. The album is loaded with incredible new material, locked with nine tracks in total. The album finds Ms. Victoria showing off her vocal prowess and flawless delivery, also rocking a range of talented artists along the way. The project features contributions from Big K.R.I.T., Raheem DeVaughn, 9th, Khrysis, and more.

However, it’s Heather Victoria who really stands out. Her smooth vocals and soulful approach re contagious, and the album comes loaded with exceptional examples. Standouts include “Never Left,” “Tribe,” “One Love,” and “Didn’t Ya Know.” The songstress does her thing and puts together quite a showcase of her vocal abilities. Don’t sleep on this one.

Check out something different. Check out the new album in the stream below and look for more new music arriving soon, as always. In the meantime, check out some more of our favorite tracks on our weekly playlist, ‘A Curation of Sound.’
