EPIX and their ongoing series, Godfather of Harlem, have kept us laced with exceptional new listening material. Over the past several weeks, we’ve been treated to an array of new music from the show’s soundtrack. The musical side of the project has been curated by Swizz Beatz, gracing us with a number of outstanding singles in the process. Today we get a brand new single entitled “In These Streets.”
The track finds John Legend joining forces with the likes of YBN Cordae and Nick Grant. The fellas come together for something smooth and soulful, offering a showcase of their respective talents along the way. The track is pushed by these big, smooth melodic elements which are seamlessly paired with some slick drum work. The backdrop allows the trio to excel, effortlessly showing off their respective talents. Mr. Legend brings the vocals while Cordae and Mr. Grant showcase their lyrical abilities. The single is the latest from the Godfather of Harlem soundtrack, following 21 Savage’s “On The Inside.”
