Lil’ Wayne – Free Weezy Album

The one and only Lil’ Wayne is back. He returns with something new (sort of) for our listening enjoyment, taking us back to 2015 in the process. Back then, his album, Tha Carter V, was in limbo. While dealing with legal and label issues, the wordsmith focused on making new music as an outlet. He dropped the Sorry 4 The Wait 2 mixtape and the Free Weezy Album. However, due to contractual obligations, Free Weezy never made its way to the masses.

That all changes today as the project has arrived on all digital streaming platforms. The project comes loaded up with thirteen tracks and features a handful of features throughout. Weezy also released a video for the track “Glory,” which was directed by Eif Rivera. The album finds Wayne showing off his uncanny abilities behind the mic, doing so over a range of impressive and contagious soundscapes. Along the way, he is joined by the likes of Cory Gunz, Euro, Wiz Khalifa, Jeezy, and more.

The project might be five years old, but it’s certainly one worth adding to your listening rotation. Do yourself a favor and take a few minutes from your busy day. Press play on the Free Weezy Album in the stream below and enjoy! While you’re at it, be sure to keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more new music coming very soon!
