The beautiful and incredibly talented, Mahalia is back. The talented UK-bred artist has been making quite a name for herself with some excellent material over the past few years. She dropped her debut album, ‘Diary of Me’ back in 2016 and today she returns with her sophomore effort. ‘Love & Compromise’ is also Mahalia’s American debut, and she brings her A-game. The album arrives after the songstress served up “Square 1” and “Simmer.”
Both tracks got our attention, and now she serves up a collection full of gems. ‘Love & Compromise’ is locked in with thirteen new tracks, including features from fellow UK songstress, Ella Mai, as well as Burna Boy, Lucky Daye, Terrace Martin and more. Mahalia shows off her range and her exceptional vocal prowess. She also shows off her depth and her talents with the pen, cooking up something for everyone.
The album includes a handful of standouts, besides the singles mentioned earlier. Some of our favorites include “Hide Out,” “What Am I?,” “Karma,” “Regular People,” and “Do Not Disturb.” Mahalia provides something infectious and soulful, something we wouldn’t suggest sleeping on.
