Meek Mill – Letter To Nipsey Ft. Roddy Ricch

This past Sunday marked the 62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards. Among the highlights was a tribute for the late Nipsey Hussle. The performance was done by Meek Mill and included the likes of YG, Roddy Ricch, John Legend, DJ Khaled, and Kirk Franklin. During the performance, Meek Mill and Roddy took the stage to perform a snippet of a new track, titled “Letter To Nipsey.” The track was created in honor of Nipsey and focused on the reaction surrounding his death. Now the track has been released in full for our listening enjoyment.

“Meek Mill and Roddy took the stage to perform a snippet of a new track, titled “Letter To Nipsey,” finds Meek and Roddy going in over the top of this smooth, somber instrumental, showcasing their lyrical prowess in the process. The track is pushed by these snappy yet laid back drum sections, which are paired with some laid back melodic elements. The instrumental fits well with the context of the track while Meek and Roddy showcase their respective talents behind the mic. The track is a fitting tribute to the late west coast wordsmith and one worth adding to your listening rotation.

Check out the new track “Letter To Nipsey” in the stream below and look for more from Meek Mill coming soon. In the meantime, be sure to check out the latest installment of our weekly playlist, ‘A Curation of Sound.’
