Now Playing | Black Milk – ‘DiVE’ EP

He’s back! Detroit’s very own, Black Milk makes his return to the interwebs. This time around Black Milk serves up his new EP ‘DiVE,’ continuing the experimentation and politically-charged themes from last year’s FEVER album. DiVE finds Black Milk showing off all of his skills, taking to the mic and doing his thing while effortlessly showing out behind the boards.

Black recently opened up about the EP. He stated: “DiVE represents me looking ahead at 2020.” The producer extraordinaire and MC added, “Stepping into this new decade, I want to have a mentality of progression. Once 2020 clicks in, I want to leave a lot of my old ways, traditions, and mentalities behind. I’m always going to have my standard and aesthetic. That’s why I’m not really afraid to step outside of any box because my taste will always keep me grounded.” The EP comes locked with eleven new tracks, all of which are worth checking out. The project is led by the previously released singles “Black NASA” and “If U Say” with BJ the Chicago Kid. However, other standouts include “Blame,” “Tyme,” and “Now Begin.”

Black Milk delivers something special and something we wouldn’t suggest sleeping on. Press play and let this one ride; you won’t be disappointed. Keep it locked for more new music coming very soon. Be sure to look for our favorites from ‘DiVE’ on this weekend’s ‘A Curation of Sound.
