The good folks over at Ford have a focus on performance these days. After unveiling the Bronco Raptor, the automaker is back with a look at the latest entry into the Raptor family of vehicles. Today we get our first look at the 2022 Ford Shelby F-150 Raptor Truck. Shelby is giving the third-gen Ford Raptor its signature performance treatment, upgrading the power and improving chassis dynamics in the process.
The truck boasts an increase of 75 horsepower and 100 lb-ft of torque thanks to a handful of enhancements under the hood. The ride features a high-flow intake, aluminum intercooler, and an ECU tune, which equates to 525 horsepower and 610 lb-ft. Power comes from an impressive twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 while also rocking a handful of cosmetic upgrades in the process.
The truck has a BDS lift, bespoke Shelby 18-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 37-inch BF Goodrich KM3 tires, with an extra pair locked in a Shelby rack in the bed. The front and rear steel bumpers feature integrated LED lights, while the interior is adorned with leather seats that feature the Shelby logo, billet aluminum pedals, and carbon fiber inserts. This isn’t your typical F-150, and it’s certainly more powerful.
