It’s getting harder and harder to find vintage Ford Bronco’s that are in pristine condition. These are iconic off-road machines, and the good folks over at Velocity Restorations build some beautifully restored iterations of the Bronco. Velocity Restorations was the recipient of the PPG Dream Car Award and the Goodguys Builder’s Choice Award. These days the company is building Spec-Built Customized Classic Ford Broncos.
They have two fully-finished classic vehicles for sale: a PPG Custom Brittany Blue 1968 Ford Bronco and a deep gloss-black 1973 Ford Bronco. Both rides come powered by a 430-horsepower Ford Coyote 5.0L V8 crate engine. This doubles the original horsepower, while mated to a 4R70 four-speed automatic transmission. If that wasn’t enough, both come equipped with a Ford 9-inch rear axle, and Dana 44 front axle, and an exclusive serpentine system.
Handling comes from Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes, Hydroboost-assisted braking, BFGoodrich All-terrain T/A tires, and Mickey Thompson wheels. Both also feature a four-point roll cage, which you can bump up to a six-point custom roll cage. This machine is made for fun and offers an excellent and eye-catching way of doing it.
