Rustic x Modern | Greg Lauren’s Spring/Summer 2020 Collection

Harkening back to an era as genuinely American as perhaps the Revolutionary War, Greg Lauren’s recently debuted SS20 collection dials in a distinctly modernized vision of the Wild West. Through the use of denim, Navajo prints, and nods to vintage American military staples, this bright, rustic, and eclectic collection seems right at home on the range where the photoshoots took place.

The wandering expanse of the landscape is somehow downplayed by the outfits displayed in front of them. Greg Lauren leaves nothing off limits with this release. Denim is paired with sweatpants for jeans, and woven materials with repurposed overalls form a long overcoat in this free for all of style and detail. Camouflage cargo pants and bomber suits highlight Lauren’s affinity for deconstruction and reimagining.

The SS20 collection also brings options for puffer jackets, pinstripe blazers, and Navajo inspired kimonos. Plaid and denim overcoats boost the outerwear offerings as well. As a final nod to the Modern Cowboy vibe, finishing with a wide brim hat almost corrals the different directions and drives them home.
