Speed Meets Style! 2009 Brooke Cosworth Double R Roadster

Over the course of automotive history, there has been a British tradition of ultralight sports cars. Vehicles like the Lotus 7 and Ariel Atom were small, compact vehicles with incredible power and agility. Today we get a look at a beautiful machine that takes inspiration from those icons. Let us introduce you to this stunning  2009 Brooke Cosworth Double R Roadster.

This eye-catching roadster is crafted with a tubular spaceframe chassis boasting a bonded composite seating tub. In all, the car weighs just 1,124 pounds, while the 400 horsepower supercharged Duratec inline-four provides ample power equivalent to modern supercars and superbikes.

With a 0-60 mph time of under three seconds, this bad boy is capable of keeping up with some of the fastest cars on the road. It’s also quite sleek with an open-wheel and open cab design. This 2009 Double R has barely been driven, rocking hand-polished, bare aluminum bodywork inspired by Formula One cars of the ’50s and ’60s. Oh, and it’s also just one of only fifteen made.

Take a closer look at this stunning vehicle in the images and head over to Collecting Cars to place your bid. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more classic cars, customs, and new rides coming soon.
