Generally speaking, when we see custom motorcycles, they are older models revamped with a modern approach. Well, the good folks over at K-Speed decided to do something a little different. The Thailand-based customizer’s latest project is a new 2019 Yamaha XSR155 Trail Breaker. This custom design was commissioned by Yamaha Thailand to showcase the brand’s new model. The base model is a simple, retro design, rocking a 155cc SOHC single with 19 horsepower.
K-Speed revamped the ride with a bevy of custom parts and new details throughout. The ride boasts a custom flat subframe with an integrated luggage rack. There is also a robust crash cage for the engine and a military-inspired bash guard. To allow the bike more freedom in the dirt, the bike boasts tracker-style bars with custom retro-style switchgear and grips.
K-Speed also outfitted the ride with Brembo calipers, YSS suspension, and spoked aluminum hoops wrapped in beefy dual-sport rubber. Lighting comes from side-by-side circular LED headlights, while LED spotlights on both sides of the SOHC mill offer plenty of light for any situation. The ride comes in a custom primer grey with a distressed finish to complete the off-road theme. K-Speed always delivers something exceptional, and this brilliant custom machine is no different.
