Brooklyn’s very own, Stro has been a busy man so far in 2019. The wordsmith has been serving up a dose of new material over the past several months, and he’s back with another new single. This time around Stro links up with Dave East for a smooth new single called “Lace Up.” The track is just the latest from Stro, following his mixtape-slash-album, Last Friday.
“Lace Up” is one of a handful of exclusives found on the Madden ’20 soundtrack, which is set to arrive on August 2nd. The track finds Stro and Dave East showing off their respective talents, getting quite an instrumental to excel upon. Driven by some slick, hard-hitting drum work while paired with some smoothed out, catchy melodic elements. The track provides the two MC’s with a nice home to shine, both taking to the track to effortlessly, and flawlessly, do their thing. Stro always delivers something worth rocking with, and he definitely doesn’t let us down on this one. The track joins other standouts on the Madden ’20 soundtrack, including Rico Nasty’s “Time Flies,” Don Toliver and Wiz Khalifa’s “Back Up,” Hit-Boy and Saweetie’s “No L’s,” IDK’s “24,” and more.
